Hybrid Laser Welding Gantry designed for ESAB, Applied Thermal Sciences
OTHER TECHNOLOGIES

SDMT – AA Supercluster Distributive Memory Technology program designed to proved a highly scalable computation architecture used to run complex computer simulations.

Cavitation – ATS has performed extensive research into cavitation of various metals, composites and polymers and gained deep knowledge into the protection against cavitation.

MACH – ATS provided the finite element analysis for the Modular Advanced Composite Hull-form concept, a hybrid metal/composite construction technique intended for U.S. Navy vessels.

Nanotubes – Using the technology we’ve developed for laser welding, we’re examining ablation methods for large-scale nanotube production.

AVSS – Under our Active Vibration Suppression System project, ATS worked with the U.S. Army to enhance seeker performance for typical Theater High Altitude Area Defense Interceptors.

Advanced Composite Conductor – ATS was a key partner of the National Science Foundation in the development of a fiber-reinforced power transmission cable that carries up to three times the electrical power that current power lines can carry.

UME – ATS has a long history collaborating with the University of Maine to develop key technologies for various Department of Defense applications.
